Vinyl Abuse Project – On Sale!

Head over to http://www.futureplastik.co.uk and click “Vinyl Abuse Project” on the left and check out what is for offer. Ourselves and Future Plastik set this up a few months back, with some great artists involved, such as Peskimo, Mimic, Mad, Brick Boy,Okkle, Tesselate + many more. They had to customise record vinyl discs, using their own style, some used 3D techniques and some just stuck with 2D painting, all in all, they all look absolutly amazing. Well done.

One of the artists is willing to give the money he gets for his custom, to Huck Gee. We are also trying to raise money for Huck Gee, if you havent noticed yet, click the red star near our logo and check what we have for sale… all for a good cause!

• Fabric t-shirt (2 colour screen print design on the front) with ‘Vandals’ monogram labels.
• Fabric bag (Vandals monogram printed on the front) with ‘Vandals’ monogram label.
• Woven beanie with ‘Vandals’ monogram label.
• ‘Vandals’ design skateboard with spare parts, trucks, bolts and a spanner.
• External of box: Police line-up design with a unique number (1-300) identity plate sticker, coded and dated. Die-cut windows.

Michael Lau @ dpmhi

Mr.Shoe Shop (Sample) Exhibition

A massive collection of Mr Shoes, customised in all manner of ways, kicked off last night at dpmhi, London.

Not a huge crowd, but plenty big enough to make for a relaxing viewing and gathering.

Michael Lau was in attendance – here he is being given something by James from triclops.

Plenty of free beer meant the show went on long past its official close time.

UK HUCK FUNDRAISING EVENT

Most if not all of you will have heard about Huck Gee’s recent run in with immigration. If you haven’t the I recommend you read this: http://www.huckgee.com/hucks_story.htm

Here at VA myself and the boys have been plotting a UKside benefit – to run in conjunction with Sket’s show in the US.

Well I’m happy to announce that I have had word from Huck. About the UKside show he says: I am totally down. Just let me know what if anything you need from me. Thanks for the support! Huck.

The thinking behind the UK show – rather than UK artists join the US show – is that we could save a fortune in shipping customs and artworks across the pond, show the UK support in full..

From here the plan will develop as to what form the show takes, where we hold it and when it will be – so input is very much appreciated. It’s early stages, but let’s see if we can drum up as much support for Huck as possible.
