ARTHOLIC

Fancy a May afternoon in the sun? Well the Matsuri crew have put together their next live painting at 93 Feet East for May 14, and have named it ARTHOLIC. The live painting features a host of doodlers who will be shaking spray cans and controlling brush flows.

“Buzz” the tattooed strongman

Carnival Cartoons have brought one of their cartoons to life, bringing us Buzz the Tattooed Strongman. He is the 1st toy produced from the set of cartoons, but is not the last as hes the 1st of 8 that they plan to put into production.

Madame Edgar presents Attaboy’s solo show Le Fungus

Incredible stuff available for viewing – totally twisted, I especially like the transparent panels! You can’t go wrong with Bees!!!

Also a new Attaboy print has just been released via Yum Factory.

The Orange is a HUGE 18″ x 44″ wide Giclee Print on heavy archival Watercolour Paper printed in UV Inks and suitable for framing. Edition of 50, each is signed, numbered and includes a certificate.

BIG GARDEN

The latest of the Garden books ‘The Dark Issue’ is a huge wedge of the latest HK toy scene info. Thought the HK scene was dead… think again, it’s been busy doing it’s own thing whilst the west went nuts over plastic rabbits!

Book designer Tomm has done a great piece of work putting this together. More info about the book can be found on Tomm’s blog. The book is available for pre-order soon, and this new wave of HK energy should see it being available through various online stores.

At long last the MAD*L artist series will be shipped out to customers. Wheaty Wheat the producers of MAD*L put there piece in production quite a while ago, and now are shipping them.

Please Help Ava…

A member of kid robots forum named Ally (aka Wacko) spilled her heart for the toy community to try to help her 2 1/2 year old Daughter Ava.

Ava who was diagnosed with the rare form of cancer called neoblastoma, and the vinyl toy scene seems to be helping. Over at Kidrobot people are donating toys and money to help Ava’s condition.

Action Man is going to be 40 years old this year, and to celebrate repro 1st edition 1966 Action Man figures are being painted/accessorised/pimped and primed by 40 special service agents from around the world. Artists include the pioneers of vinyl Eric So, Michael Lau, Brothersfree as well as next gen stars from Huck Gee, Joe Ledbetter, Gary Baseman and many more.

D*Face Saves the Queen
