Bax Bear – Launch Party

Bax Bear Launch Party Report
 
Tthe Bax Bear World Tour kicked off in style here in Vancouver, Canada at the amazing El Kartel shop.
 
A HUGE turn out with 1000+ people showing up to get their hands on series 1 and check out the almost 200 hand painted 8″ D.I.Y Bax bears.  The place was so packed there was a line up outside of people waiting to get in.

Kei Sawada  was flown out to join the other local artists Camilla d’Errico, Wade Baker, Jason Pultz, Jason Prain and The Dark to sign figures for the fans.

Say Whaaat! Exhibition @ Kickballers DC

The Mason Jar and Kickballers present Washington D.C.’s first exhibit/charity auction to feature artwork on toys.

The exhibit is called “Say Whaaat!” and will be held on December 13-16th, 2007 at the Kickballers store in Washington D.C.’s popular neighborhood of Georgetown.
All of the customized toys by participating artists will be auctioned on eBay in order to generate proceeds for charity and to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. The “Say Whaaat!” art exhibit has over 80 participating artists who have all joined efforts to contribute positively to a charity, which focuses on feeding the needy.

“Say Whaaat!” opens at Kickballers store on the night of Thursday December 13th from 8-11pm. Opening night will feature artist’s customizing toys on the spot; live music provided by local DJ’s Oso-Fresh, SMK, Cramske and Diallo Sharif. There will be refreshments and product giveaways opening night.

Shelf Life & DIY Calamari

Last Thursday saw the Bohdi gallery have the opening night to Shelf Life and DIY Calamari, the work of Sichi and Hicalorie. DIY Calamari was held downstairs in the Adfunture UK store, featuring Hicalorie’s Lefty toy customised by artists such as JamFactory, Mr Jago, Peskimo, Jeremyville, Kenn Munk and more. It was a good night (with free beer!) and i recommend everyone to go check it out. Its on until 21st November 2007, so be quick!

Seamour lamp pre-order

The Saddest Devil – part 2

Here we present to you the Pantone sample for the debut colourway of ‘The Saddest Devil’ figure from Toby Dutkiewicz:

Toby has chosen grey for the initial colourway instead of the traditional red devil colour scheme. He’s also added quite a nice touch with the layering flames in different shades of grey over the main body of the figure!

Expect more pics and info to come soon as The Saddest Devil approaches his release in Jan 08!

JamFactory Droplet – Final Mould

This little fella’ is the final mould to JamFactory’s droplet vinyl being produced by Crazy Label. The little guy stands at only 2.5 inch tall, which makes him affordable to collect them all! They are being launched in the first quarter of 2008 and will be available in 5 colourways.
