The 5.5 inch high figure is a combo of clear vinyl and a hand cast resin Octo base with a switched color changing LED unit mounted underneath the base that projects the color lights up, illuminating the clear vinyl body. Signed and numbered at $250.
Adapta Gallery’s third curated project will be held on November 12th – November 29th 2009, with a show in Tokyo called Close Encounters. The show consists of 8 British-based artists, including Best Ever, Cyclops, D*Face, David Bray, Matt Small, Sickboy, Word To Mother and Vesna Parchet.
The variety of work on show is eclectic, and that is precisely the reason why we chose them in the first place. From D*Face’s two-dimensional graphic art to the rich textures of emerging artist Vesna Parchet’s styled character-based paintings, a plethora of mediums, emotions and messages are employed for the viewer to digest.
This particular show is very close to our hearts as we are finally able to put together an amazing line up of artists to produce works for our Tokyo readers and Japanese collectors to see in person. We have been interviewing and working on projects with so many talented British creatives over the years and to finally curate our own show in Tokyo for our main audience is a true honour.
On the opening night, we will also have special guests: Usugrow, Jeff Soto, Shohei Takasaki, Yoshiki & Nagayama also showing their works.
This year at DesignerCon, DLi$h will be unveiling several Mini Munny exclusive figures. The Oxidation Series captures the metallic color transition as precious metals become exposed to the elements. To some, this is when the metal begins to come to life, and for this very reason, these figures have lots of character without having a face.
While you see this custom shown in three color ways here, there are a total of six colors available at $50 each. These mystery colors will be unveiled by request only when you go to the Delicious Drips booth at DesignerCon with the code “yellow submarine”.

Now is the XXI century and he’s put on a superhero suit that he wears with much displeasure… always by his side is his old time friend Monko, (a stuffed monkey, that passed away around year 1100 ) together they fight criminals and new human menaces…

Winter Ninja revels in the season with his icicle shuriken and fancy, macho stache. Never cold, the Winter Ninja not only defends the most treacherous terrain high atop Mount Feroshi, he also manages the meat-packing district and its vast, icy storage rooms.
