The Mez-Itz Art Show!
Conceived as a celebration of its new collectible toy line, the Mez-Itz Art Show displays the amazing versatility of the Mez-Itz deceivingly simple design. Rather than only turning to artists to create custom figures, Mezco thought outside the box and reached out to designers and F/X artists as well.
Afterwards, the Mez-Itz will be displayed at a New York location that has yet to be revealed.

This wonderful surprise was waiting in my inbox after returning home from hospital and I have to say that I’d be surprised if Alberto’s work wasn’t picked up to be made into production pieces.
His characters and bold painterly style would (imo) look great in 3D. Here’s hoping that a little exposure will go a long way on the quest to see his wonderful artwork become reality :]

We at Patch Together teamed up with OKKLE, a UK artist and well known for his outstanding customs to bring you one of his characters the “SKONK”.

Reel FX Creative Studios and Brad Oldham Inc. today reveal significant details surrounding their series of sculptures entitled, “The Traveling Man.†The sculptures will sit at three different sites near DART’s Deep Ellum Rail Station and represent the latest additions to DART’s public art program.  Installation of the sculptures has started and is scheduled for completion the end of August, before the Green Line opens September 14.
Brandon Oldenburg of Reel FX Creative Studios and Brad Oldham of Brad Oldham Inc. were awarded the contract to create the sculptural series after their concepts were selected by DART in 2007. Since that time, the team has worked to complete the final design, engineering and construction phases of what has been dubbed “The Deep Ellum Gateway Art Project,†a moniker chosen by DART to signify that the three sculptures will serve as a welcoming gateway to all the visitors who enter Deep Ellum.

Flosha is 4.5 inch high and has a run of only 5 pcs. Both are hand painted, and hand flocked. Tenso’s head, arms and torso are articulated. Flosha´s eyes are glowing like lamps for about 3 -6 hours, yes!

The Rules:
Your designs must be submitted by and no later than September 1st 2009. First place, second place, and third place will be determined based on the judges decisions. (Judges Lunartik JOnes + Special Guests).
You may submit multiple entries but a maximum of one design per artist will be selected as a top three winners.
