I think the summer has taken its toll, alot of stuffs been going on anyway.. Sichi flew away to TTF to promote his BUKA

Jay/SoulJie has been tied up with web work (and holidays).. does suck arse at times having lots of ideas but being unable to get everyone together to get things moving.

Never fear though, we'll be launching a whole new VA some time after the mentalness of SDCC coverage calms down :lol:

We'd love to do another exhibition so may as well start brainstorming now

Well I will take part in anything so long as I have time to make a contribution

Edit: Actually I want to do something for a wildlife charity, charity exhibitions always seem to be for people. Poor little creatures are endangered everywhere, if I research some protection schemes for a few animals would people be interested in helping organise something?

Well doesn't matter where it is for me.

I probably wouldn't contribute(not that i don't want to.. just nothing of mine is worth contributing), and if I could, I wouldn't be able to go so I would just send whatever it is in.

I'd like to contribute, if there is one and you'd be willing to let me.

pandas are endangered because they're idiots and only eat bamboo that actually is not nutritious at all (and apparently have no libido). same deal with koalas and eucalyptus, but they do have a libido, but also walk in front of cars.

but yes, animal charities sound like a good idea

worldwide or UK based? there's like a zillion animal charitys.
(i have a born free elephant sponsorship myself, and an addiction to Animal Planet)

there's a safari park in Kent you know, that has the largest herd of breeding Black Rhino outside of africa. and you can go and camp there africa style, but cheaper than going to africa.

theres wwf, born free, wspa, rspca, blue cross, st tiggywinkles (heehee), care for the wild international, then theres a billion specific animal charities heehee, wwf or wspa are the two obvious ones i think though.

A zoo based exhibition is a genius idea!

All those charities are good, but is there a way to get money straight to the actual projects? Like cutting out the middle man?

And yeah pandas are very endangered, and like catcatxx said they don't exactly help themselves! It's actually quite worrying just how many species we know of are endangered, let alone ones we don't know of!

Pandas, polarbears, tigers, orang-utans, gorillas, rhinos, elephants, turtles and tons of other not so well known animals, even the cod fish is due to over fishing.

How should we do this? Should we pick a few animals to raise for or just a charity in general or let each artist have their own animal/charities(s) to raise money for. Thinking mainly of organising issues, I guess we need to keep it fairly simple.

I wanna help the turtles and tigers!

there's one little fish, that isn't even officially classified yet, discovered in september 2006, was over collected for the pet shop trade and is now endangered in the one little pond in myanmar it was found in. that's pretty sad.

fortunately it seems to be breeding well in captivity now.

the only thing with zoo's is to work out around their admission prices, costs £14 to get into London zoo for example.
